Ground School
Doncaster Sheffield Flying School offers some of the best ground school tuition available. We offer ground school on an intensive one-to-one basis, night classes, or ad-hoc sessions to suit you.
One-to-one Ground School
One-to-one ground school aims to cover any PPL subject in a single day. With our team of experienced ground instructors, one-to-one training offers the quickest and easiest route through the PPL examinations. Conducted in our newly refurbished briefing room, we use modern teaching methods and computer-based learning to allow us to illustrate and demonstrate technical details in a clear fashion. At the end of the session it is possible to take the relavant ground examination as we have our own resident examiners.
Evening Classes
Our night classes offer the most cost-effective ground tuition. Everybody is welcome to attend, including existing PPL holders wanting a bit of a brush-up. Classes are taken in our newly refurbished lecture room using a variety of modern teaching methods. Classes are usually on a Wednesday evening, and they also provide a great opportunity to meet other students and PPL holders. Every subject shall be covered in turn, but some subjects take longer than others to cover.
Ad-hoc Sessions
These sessions are aimed at covering the parts of the syllabus that you are not sure about. For example, if you are struggling using the flight computer, a one-hour session with one of our instructors could solve all your problems. All we require in advance is for you to let us know what you would like to cover in the session, allowing your instructor to prepare the lesson in advance.
